Abdulaziz al Alsheikh Chairman, Saudi Arabia Riyadh
Mr. Alsheikh brings a wealth of expertise to Korn/Ferry. Aside from his current position with the Firm, he is also the general manager of Banaja – a leading healthcare enterprise of Saudi Arabia.
Prior to Korn/Ferry, Mr. Alsheikh served as country manager, Saudi Arabia, for LifeScan Johnson & Johnson. In this role, he worked closely with the ministry of health to change import laws concerning LifeScan products in Saudi Arabia, as well as strategically managing and expanding company operations in the Yemen Republic. Earlier, Mr. Alsheikh worked in sales and marketing for Merck & Co. based in the United States, before moving on to Merck Sharp and Dohme, Saudi Arabia, where he served as business manager of HIV products, franchise manager of the osteoporosis franchise, and finally as an institution sales manager.
Mr. Alsheikh began his career as a project manager with STS Research and Development in San Diego. He performed modeling and simulation projects related to the development of chemical processes in the petrochemical industry. In addition, Mr. Alsheikh was involved in the restoration project that saved $150 million of sensitive equipment for STS.
Mr. Alsheikh currently serves on the boards of various leading organizations and is widely known for his business and leadership capabilities that are supported by his extensive commercial experience, rigorous education and family background.
Mr. Alsheikh earned a master’s of business administration and master’s degree in international finance from The American University in Washington, D.C. He earned a bachelor’s of science in chemical engineering from King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
