With more than a decade of experience in retained search, Mr. Blumenthal has recruited senior executives and board members for major corporations and for private equity and venture funded companies within the technology market.

Prior to joining Korn/Ferry, Mr. Blumenthal was a partner at another international search firm in Philadelphia, where he started their technology practice in 1999. Before this, he was president of a New Jersey-based career consulting firm, where he coached senior executives on career strategies and transitions.

Before entering the search and consulting business, Mr. Blumenthal worked as a vice president of sales for a computer company. Prior to this, he was the number one branch manager in the United States for AT&T’s Data Systems Division. He was recruited to AT&T at its divestiture as a platform speaker and motivational marketer.

Mr. Blumenthal began his career in sales and marketing at IBM Corporation.

In addition to his national search expertise, Mr. Blumenthal has a strong commitment to the Mid Atlantic region. He is the 2007 Chairman of the Mid Atlantic Capital Conference and serves on the Executive Committee and board of the MAC Alliance (formerly Greater Philadelphia Venture Group). He has also served on the marketing committee of the Association for Corporate Growth (M&A East), and is a longstanding member of the Eastern Technology Council where he co-founded and chaired its Human Capital Initiative.

Mr. Blumenthal is a graduate of Colgate University with a bachelor’s degree in math, economics and computer science.
