Mr. Ingersoll specializes in the recruitment of senior-level executives for associations, federal and state governments, and nonprofit organizations nationwide. He is respected as a strong facilitator of association and nonprofit search committees and is accomplished in assisting search committees in defining their needs for new leadership.
Prior to entering the executive search profession, Mr. Ingersoll spent eight years recruiting executives for presidential-appointed positions within the U.S. Departments of State and Commerce, and the U.S. Information Agency. He served in the White House in the Office of Presidential Personnel.
Mr. Ingersoll is a principal of the Council for Excellence in Government and a member of the advisory group looking into the federal talent crisis. He was a member of the 2001 Presidential Rank Award Review Board at the Office of Personnel Management.
Mr. Ingersoll received a bachelor’s degree in political science from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut.
