Mr. von Guggenberg combines 11 years in executive search with 11 years in strategy and operations consulting throughout Europe and North America. He specializes in senior-level searches for clients in the technology, management consulting, and private equity arenas, in a broad range of corporate functions as well as board positions. In conjunction with his executive search work, he frequently acts as an interviewer in global management assessment engagements.

Mr. von Guggenberg joined the Firm from a leading executive search firm, where he worked as senior partner in the technology practice and as practice leader IT & professional services for Central Europe.

Before this, he worked with the corporate strategy consulting firm Monitor Company as a global account manager in London and Paris, focusing on strategy projects for blue chip corporations.

Prior to Monitor, Mr. von Guggenberg was with the Marketing Corporation, a marketing strategy consulting firm based in Bad Homburg (Frankfurt). As senior manager, he led strategy projects for leading branded goods companies and, as international director, Mr. von Guggenberg developed the firm’s global business, opening offices and establishing alliances throughout Europe and the U.S.

Mr. von Guggenberg has worked as a senior consultant within the financial services consulting group at KPMG Consulting in the Frankfurt, New York, and Budapest offices.  He started his career as a management trainee with Creditanstalt-Bankverein in Vienna.

Mr. von Guggenberg earned a doctorate in business administration from the University of Venice, and a master‘s degree in business administration from University of Innsbruck. He has lived and worked in Italy, Germany, Austria, the U.K., the U.S., and Hungary. In addition to his native German, he is fluent in English and Italian.
