Mr. Basara joined Korn/Ferry in 1998 and has significant experience in the recruitment of senior executives within the healthcare services industry. He has completed more than 200 searches for a variety of healthcare clients, including: hospitals, integrated health systems, academic medical centers, physician groups, professional associations, health insurance companies, healthcare consulting firms, and other services organizations. 

Working closely with boards, search committees, and other senior executives, these searches include recruiting healthcare leaders for the following key positions: Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Human Resources Officer, Chief Information Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Nursing Officer, Chief Strategy Officer, and more.

Prior to Korn/Ferry, Mr. Basara worked as a recruiter and HR professional for Ernst & Young’s Healthcare Consulting practice. In this role, he was responsible for the recruitment of healthcare consultants with expertise in areas such as process/operations improvement, physician and clinical services, information technology, revenue cycle, strategy, and change management.

Prior to his corporate experiences, Mr. Basara spent over six years serving as a United States Naval Officer. He held numerous leadership and management positions while assigned to the USS JOHN YOUNG, and his last position with the Navy was as an assistant professor and director of recruiting operations for The George Washington University Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps Program.

Mr. Basara holds a master of human resources management degree from The George Washington University, as well as a bachelor of science degree from Villanova University.
