Mr. Fifield leverages his extensive experience in executive search, organizational consulting, M&A due diligence and management assessment to help address the unique human capital challenges facing companies in the region. He focuses on recruiting senior executives and building strong leadership teams for companies in the industrial, high-tech, life sciences and consumer electronics markets across China and Asia Pacific.

Prior to joining Korn/Ferry, Mr. Fifield worked for 17 years with another executive search firm in Tokyo, London, and most recently, Los Angeles, where he was the office managing partner.

Previously, Mr. Fifield worked with McKinsey & Co. in Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur and Los Angeles. There, he served as an advisor to clients spanning multiple industries, guiding them on issues including strategy, operations, organization, and restructuring. He also was a founding member of McKinsey’s logistics and manufacturing practices, and developed and led a series of month-long management training programs for senior Japanese executives.

Mr. Fifield was the co-author of Management Culture and Effectiveness of Local Executives in Japanese-Owned U.S. Corporations, a groundbreaking management and human resources study that was published in cooperation with the University of Michigan in 1989.

Mr. Fifield earned a master’s in business administration in finance and multinational management from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and an artium baccalaureatus in history from Princeton University.
