With more than a decade of executive search experience, Mr. Hocking has worked with premier technology companies, top-tier venture capital firms and leading private equity firms to recruit board members, chief executive officers and other senior executives. Additionally, he is responsible for managing Korn/Ferry teams who work with the Firm’s major accounts within the technology industry.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Hocking spent eight years leading Korn/Ferry’s San Francisco and Silicon Valley offices, where he led one of the most profitable regions for the Firm. In this capacity, he managed search consultants across all industry sectors, including advanced technology, consumer/retail, financial services, life sciences, industrial, education and non-profit.

Mr. Hocking joined Korn/Ferry from the Internet Capital Group, where he was vice president of executive recruiting. In this role, he led all senior executive searches for ICG’s West Coast partner companies.
Prior to ICG, Mr. Hocking was a Client Partner in Korn/Ferry’s Silicon Valley office.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Hocking was a manager in Booz Allen & Hamilton’s worldwide commercial business, and served in human resources roles for several technology companies.

Mr. Hocking holds a master’s degree in labor and industrial relations and a bachelor’s degree in social sciences from Michigan State University.
