With more than two decades of experience within the healthcare services field, Dr. Ferry specializes in the recruitment and leadership development of senior-level executives in this market.

Prior to joining Korn/Ferry, he was senior vice president for The Hunter Group (a unit of Navigant Consulting, Inc.). In that capacity, he served as a senior consultant providing advisory services in the areas of hospital and health systems management, business development, compliance, health insurance, graduate medical education, organizational development and strategic planning.

Before Navigant, Dr. Ferry was senior vice president and general manager, medical & surgical services for University Hospitals of Cleveland, as well as acting president and chief executive officer for part of his tenure.

Dr. Ferry’s earlier career included concurrent roles as medical director within the Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare of New England network and CEO of its multi-specialty physician practice; President and CEO of Southampton Hospital; and multiple appointments within New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center and Weill Cornell Medical College. Prior to his appointment to the faculty of Cornell University, he was chief resident in pediatrics at the Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital of New York-Presbyterian in New York City.

Dr. Ferry received his master’s in business administration from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and earned his M.D. as well as his bachelor’s degree in biological and medical sciences from Brown University. He served his internship and residency at Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons in New York.
