Since joining Korn/Ferry in 1987, Mr. Koyama has focused on the executive recruiting needs of both Japanese and multinational industrial companies across Japan and Asia in the aerospace, defense and electronics, automotive OEMs and suppliers, capital equipment, machinery, components and engineering, chemicals, minerals and metals, construction, energy, paper, packaging and printing and the transportation, distribution and services sectors.

Prior to this, Mr. Koyama worked with Tokyo Boeki, one of Japan’s major trading firms for nearly a decade. During that period, he was responsible for marketing industrial products and machinery, automobiles, electronic components and finished products to international joint ventures, start-up operations and technology-based partnerships in the global markets. In this role, Mr. Koyama was stationed in New York and Chicago, as well as in the Soviet Union, the People’s Republic of China and other countries in Asia.

Mr. Koyama holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Seijo University.
