With over a decade of executive search experience, Mr. Ormsby has conducted well over 100 Chief Financial Officer searches. He has also helped many CFOs build out their executive team of direct reports. He has worked with companies ranging in size from start ups to multi-billion dollar global enterprises across multiple industries. Located in Northern California, Mr. Ormsby spends considerable time with clients in the broader technology sector where he has developed strong expertise. In addition, he works closely with private equity firms and their portfolio companies in helping them recruit top financial talent.

Prior to joining Korn/Ferry in 2001, Mr. Ormsby was with another major search firm working within their financial officers practice. He entered the executive search business after returning from a three-year overseas assignment in Tokyo for Credit Suisse First Boston. Prior to investment banking, he worked in advertising for Hakuhodo, a major Japanese advertising company. He started his career in Japan with Mitsui & Co. in marketing and sales roles.

Mr. Ormsby holds a bachelor’s degree in organizational communications from California State University, Long Beach and speaks Japanese fluently.
