Ms. Madrid brings more than 20 years of experience as a business lawyer to Korn/Ferry. Prior to her current position, she served as senior vice president & deputy general counsel with Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae). Previously, she spent eight years with CarrAmerica Realty Corporation, serving in multiple roles, including managing director, general counsel, chief compliance & ethics officer & corporate secretary. Before joining CarrAmerica, Ms. Madrid was with Riggs National Corporation where she served as senior vice president, general counsel & corporate secretary. She began her career as a commercial litigator practicing at several law firms, including Sidley & Austin.

Ms. Madrid has been widely recognized for her leadership in both business and legal communities, including being named as one of the "100 Most Influential Hispanics in Business" by Hispanic Magazine in 2006.  She has served on various boards, including the executive committee of the Association of Corporate Counsel. Ms. Madrid has also been a member of numerous professional associations, including National Association of Corporate Directors, American Society of Corporate Secretaries & Governance Professionals, and the Society of Corporate Compliance & Ethics.

Based upon her expertise, Ms. Madrid has been invited to provide testimony before The U.S. House of Representatives and Federal Sentencing Commission on topics including Sarbanes Oxley and the impact of Federal Sentencing Guidelines on Corporations.

Ms. Madrid received her juris doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center, where she served as editor of the Georgetown Law Journal and her bachelor’s degree in political science, summa cum laude, from Arizona State University.
