Previously, Ms. Gouran led the Firm’s European Advanced Technology Market, building leadership teams and advising on board-level positions for companies seeking to sustain market leadership. Prior to joining Korn/Ferry in 1996, she worked with another international executive search firm, where she jointly led its worldwide international technology practice. Ms. Gouran began her recruitment career in 1988.

Before entering the executive search profession, Ms. Gouran’s career included some four years at Lloyds of London as general manager business information systems and, prior to Lloyds, some six years at British Airways with responsibility at the general management level for applications development and as managing director of its software marketing subsidiary.

Ms. Gouran was an independent board director of Galileo International Inc., one of the world’s leading providers of electronic global distribution services for the travel industry from 1998 to 2001, and a member of the International Advisory Board of Teletech Inc until 2005. She was, until May 2008, vice chairman, Board of Governors, University of Bedfordshire.

Ms. Gouran holds a master of business administration from ICMS, an affiliate of Harvard University, a bachelor of arts degree in economics from DePauw University in Indiana, and an honorary doctorate in business administration.
