Ms. Williams has extensive experience in the appointment of chairmen and non-executive directors, general counsel and company secretaries to some of Australia’s leading companies.

She joined the Firm after six years in the role of general counsel and corporate secretary for the Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympic Games (SOCOG). In this corporate secretary role, Ms. Williams provided governance and secretarial support to what was one of the most high profile boards in Australia at the time. In recognition of her achievements at SOCOG, she was awarded “Australian Corporate Lawyer of the Year” in 2000.

Prior to joining SOCOG, Ms. Williams worked at a national legal group, where as a partner her practice was predominantly in the company and corporate advisory area.

She  has also assisted a number of Australia’s larger professional services firms to identify and recruit partners and to fill senior functional positions.

Ms. Williams holds a bachelor of science degree (hons) from Sydney University and a bachelor of law from UNSW. She is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and a member of the Law Society of NSW.  In 2003, Ms. Williams was a finalist in the NSW Telstra Business Women’s Awards.
