With responsibility for overseeing the strategy, growth and profitability of Futurestep across the extensive Asia Pacific Region, Mr. Nelson leads a team of professionals to provide a range of recruitment and talent management consulting solutions to clients among the top companies in the world.

In his current role, Mr. Nelson is part of the Global Executive Team for Futurestep and a member of the Asia Pacific Management Committee for Korn/Ferry. Prior to his role as President, he was the founding Managing Director of Futurestep Australia and served as the Regional Managing Director, Asia Pacific from 2001 to 2007. He joined Korn/Ferry in 1998 as a Partner, responsible for conducting search assignments in the Banking and Funds Management sectors in Australia and across Asia.

Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Nelson spent nine years in consulting and management with a major Australian human resource consultancy, where he was recognized for his achievements recruiting finance & investment, general management and technology professionals before moving into significant general management and leadership positions.

His early career consisted of three years with the leading international consultancy Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) in their Strategy and Change Management Practice. During this time, he worked in Melbourne, Chicago and Hong Kong.

Mr. Nelson earned a master's of business administration from the Australian School of Business (AGSM), University of New South Wales (NSW), and a bachelor’s degree of arts, as well as a diploma of education.
