As a Senior Client Partner, he is responsible for leading senior executive search assignments and for ensuring that key global accounts have access to the full range of Korn/Ferry’s human capital services and solutions. Prior to joining Korn/Ferry, Mr. Guarino spent almost 15 years at Cornell International, an executive search business. He founded the firm in 1993 as a start-up and sold it to Adecco in 2003. After the sale, he remained with Adecco as senior vice president of Adecco North America and CEO of Cornell International. Most recently, he served as a non-executive chairman of Cornell-International. A noted entreprenuer, Mr. Guarino launched othere successful businesses such as Cornell Strategic Partners and Worldemployment.com, and has been involved with the growth of eight other start-up, emerging growth or small-cap companies as a strategic advisor, board member, and human capital provider. Mr. Guarino has commented on CNBC, been published in CEO Magazine, and authored the business book Smart Is Not Enough! (Wiley, 2007) on the cutting edge topic of talent management. He also serves as chairman of the board of Boy’s Town of New York, finance chairman of Capuchin Youth and Family Ministries, and as an advisory board member of Advanced Financial Applications, Inc. and FoundationSource, Inc. Mr. Guarino graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point and earned his master’s in business administration from Embry Riddle University while on active duty in the United States Army. |
