Mr. de Roos focuses on international search assignments in the board and general management level across the process industry, particularly in the chemicals and metals sectors. Prior to joining Korn/Ferry Whitehead Mann, he spent 13 years with another leading international search firm, based in Amsterdam and later Paris.

He joined the search industry from Kappa Packaging (now Smurfit Kappa Group), where his most recent position was member of the executive board of the packaging sector.

Between 1976 and 1991, Mr. de Roos held commercial, recruiting and general management positions at Royal Dutch/Shell in the Netherlands, Brazil, Curacao, the Bahamas and Ecuador. During this period, he was active in a variety of oil and chemical markets, both in sales and marketing, and in international supply/shipping and trading. As a recruiter, he was responsible for finding and attracting high-potential graduates for the international career stream. As general manager of Shell Ecuador, Mr. de Roos ran an oil and chemicals sales company, and was involved in developing opportunities for oil exploration and gold mining.

He earned a law degree from the University of Leiden.

He speaks Dutch, English, French, German, Spanish and Portuguese.
