Mr. Cheng has two decades of global experience in the search profession, with a strong focus on Greater China and Southeast Asia. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with C-suite executives while leading engagements for multinational corporations and Asian conglomerates. His specialty areas cover industry segments ranging from semiconductors, telecommunications and information technology to professional services, hardware and software products.

Prior to joining Korn/Ferry, Mr. Cheng spent over 10 years with a global executive search firm in various leadership roles, including the managing partner of Singapore and Taiwan, as well as the head of Asia Pacific technology practice.

During his tenure there, he also helped develop the company’s emerging markets in Asia Pacific and led the growth of the higher education sector in Asia.

Prior to that, Mr. Cheng led the Asia Pacific technology practices of an executive search firm based in Singapore. His earlier career was with a number of well-known technology companies, including Mentor Graphics Corporation where he was general manager for Hong Kong and China. He also worked with Computervision Corporation in North Asia, based in Hong Kong, Tokyo and Taiwan, holding country manager and regional sales and marketing leadership positions in the semiconductor equipment and software divisions.

Mr. Cheng is a graduate of McMaster University, Canada.
