With a broad-based search practice, Mr. Nielsen focuses on senior-level assignments in industrial and energy (upstream/downstream, OFS, chemicals, power, industrial products/services, EPC and alternative/clean technologies), private equity and financial services.

Mr. Nielsen has completed hundreds of searches at the executive and board level for Fortune 500 and other significant energy companies in the U.S. and internationally. He has also completed a number of energy private equity and financial institution searches.

Mr. Nielsen has been involved in the executive search industry for over 16 years, most recently with the Houston office of another international executive search firm as a senior director and partner.

Prior to beginning his executive search career, Mr. Nielsen held regional management, operations, engineering and merger/acquisition roles for BHP Petroleum.

Mr. Nielsen earned his master’s in business administration from the Jones Graduate School at Rice University, and his bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering from Tulsa University.
