![]() Heather J. Kopecky, Ph.D. Senior Client Partner Healthcare Services Houston With over 25 years of experience in the healthcare services sector, Dr. Kopecky serves as an industry expert. Her executive search work focuses on boards, senior executive management, physician leadership and functional leadership positions. Additionally, her consulting experience is nationally oriented and includes prominent academic medical centers, multi-hospital nonprofit health systems, higher education and professional healthcare associations. Earlier in her career, Dr. Kopecky held increasingly responsible positions within nonprofit, alternative care delivery and academic medical center settings. Some of these appointments included Memorial Hermann Healthcare System, Baylor College of Medicine, The Methodist Hospital and The University of Texas Health Sciences Center. Her responsibilities varied in nature, including executive leadership, clinical leadership, operations and business development. Dr. Kopecky entered the executive search business as a principal from another global search firm, where she practiced for eight years prior to joining Korn/Ferry. She was promoted to partner and then regional managing partner, helping to shape and grow the firm’s health services sector. Dr. Kopecky is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the Healthcare Financial Management Association, the American Organization of Nurse Executives and the National Association of Corporate Directors. She serves on the board of the Gulf Coast Regional Center for Innovation and Commercialization and volunteers with the Red Cross Disaster Services Human Resources System. Currently, Dr. Kopecky maintains academic appointments at the University of Texas and Texas Woman’s University. She received a master of business administration degree from Rice University and her doctor of philosophy degree in nursing from Texas Woman’s University.
