enes![]() John H. Kuhnle Consultant Education Washington DC Dr. Kuhnle has divided his career among teaching, administration and consulting. As an executive search consultant for the past 20 years, he has conducted hundreds of assignments throughout the U.S. and abroad for educational and nonprofit institutions. His placements include the presidents and other senior officers of leading colleges and universities in the U.S., as well as in more than two dozen other countries. Prior to joining Korn/Ferry in 1989, Dr. Kuhnle was a partner in the consulting firm Snelling, Kolb & Kuhnle, Inc., vice president of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), and an executive with the Federal National Mortgage Association (“Fannie Mae”). Dr. Kuhnle is a trustee emeritus of the American International University in London (formerly Richmond College), and a trustee of the American Institute for Foreign Study (AIFS) Foundation, The Ethics Resource Center, and a former director of the College Construction Loan Insurance Corporation, where he served as an appointee of the U.S. Secretary of Education. He also was a presidential appointee to the board of the Christopher Columbus Fellowship Foundation. Dr. Kuhnle has served on the faculties of the University of Maryland, the Pennsylvania State University, and Vanderbilt University and has taught in England, France and Turkey. He regularly speaks before national and international audiences and has written a column for The Washington Post. Dr. Kuhnle holds a doctorate from Vanderbilt University, a master’s degree from the University of Kentucky, and a bachelor’s degree from Centre College. He also earned an Honours Certificate from the University of Edinburgh and received an honorary doctorate from the American International University in London. |
