Mr. Baines has a wealth of experience in senior financial services search. He focuses on board-level appointments and has successfully completed assignments across the U.K., Continental Europe, Asia and the U.S. 

Mr. Baines has handled a wide range of assignments working for European, U.S. and Asia-Pacific headquartered financial institutions, helping them build their senior management and wholesale banking activities. 

Previously, Mr. Baines founded a leading boutique financial services search firm. Prior to moving into search in 1986, Mr. Baines spent ten years in the army before joining Brown Shipley in 1980, where from 1984, he ran the U.K. treasury business.

He has a bachelor of science degree in economics from University College, London.
