Mr. Pawle has advised on board recruitment for many major companies, including GSK, Cobham, Amadeus, Weir Group, the Prudential, the Royal Bank of Scotland and the Bank of England.

Prior to his current position, he was vice chairman of the investment banking division of UBS. In that role, he acted as a corporate broking adviser to many FTSE companies.

Previously, Mr. Pawle worked for UBS Phillips & Drew, becoming a managing director in 1992 and head of corporate broking in 1993. He joined County Nat West in 1980 and was responsible for developing their investment banking business in Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan. 

Mr. Pawle began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, moving into corporate finance with Barings in London and New York.

Mr. Pawle is a member of the advisory boards of Delancey Real Estate and Reform, a “think tank” involved in the reform of the public sector. He is also the chairman of European advisory board of FTI, a leading global consulting company. He is on the National Theatre Development Council and on the board of Goodenough College - a postgraduate educational institute.

Mr. Pawle is a qualified ACA and an economics graduate.
