Oliver Pawle Chairman, Board Services, United Kingdom Senior Client Partner London
Mr. Pawle has advised on board recruitment for many major companies, including the Bank of England, the Royal Bank of Scotland, GSK, MEB and William Hill.
His previous position was vice chairman of the investment banking division of UBS. In that role, he acted as a corporate broking adviser to many FTSE companies and was involved in many of the largest transactions in the U.K. and European markets. He acted as an adviser to Scottish Power, London Electricity, Southern Water, Severn Trent and Powergen.
Previously, Mr. Pawle worked for UBS Phillips & Drew, becoming a managing director in 1992 and head of corporate broking in 1993. He joined County Nat West in 1980 and was responsible for developing their investment banking business in Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan.
Mr. Pawle began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, moving into corporate finance with Barings in London and New York.
Mr. Pawle is also a member of the advisory boards of Delancey Real Estate and Reform, a “think tank” involved in the reform of the public sector. He is also the chairman of Financial Dynamics, a leading global PR consultant. He is on the National Theatre Development Council and on the board of Goodenough College - a postgraduate educational institute.
Mr. Pawle is a qualified ACA and an economics graduate.
