WASHINGTON, DC, March 17, 2009 -- Korn/Ferry International (NYSE:KFY), a premier global provider of talent management solutions, today announced that Alex Martin has joined the firm as a Senior Client Partner and member of the Industrial Market, focusing on manufacturing and chemical companies. Based in the firm’s Washington, DC office, Mr. Martin also specializes in operations excellence, research and development, and financial officer assignments, as well as recruiting executives for private equity/venture capital portfolio companies.

Mr. Martin joins Korn/Ferry from Russell Reynolds, where he was a member of the firm’s Industrial/Natural Resources sector. There, he focused on recruiting executives for manufacturing companies. Prior to entering the search field, Mr. Martin was the Director of Corporate Development at Carlisle Companies, a diversified manufacturing company, where he was responsible for corporate mergers and acquisitions, and strategic planning. Previously, he served as Business Director for a European division of Chemtura Corporation, a global specialty chemical manufacturer, responsible for the profit and loss side of the business.

Mr. Martin’s earlier career experience includes marketing and product development with Procter & Gamble and Danaher, where he developed expertise with advanced practices in rapid product development and commercialization, six sigma, and lean manufacturing. He received his B.S.E., cum laude, in chemical engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and his M.B.A. from Harvard University.
