LOS ANGELES, CA, August 11, 2009 -- Korn/Ferry International (NYSE:KFY), a premier global provider of talent management solutions, today announced that Kimberly J. Shanahan has been appointed Office Managing Director of the firm’s Northern Virginia office, located in Reston.

Ms. Shanahan joined Korn/Ferry in 2006 and is a Senior Client Partner in the firm’s Global Technology Market, Human Resources and Financial Officers Centers of Expertise. Korn/Ferry’s Northern Virginia office specializes in advanced technology, government contracting, professional services, defense/aerospace, nonprofits and healthcare. She will continue to serve clients in addition to her new role.

Prior to joining Korn/Ferry, Ms. Shanahan led wireless corporate strategy and business development for MCI and spent five years with another global executive search firm, where she helped lead a large segment within global technology. Earlier, she was a consultant with DFI International and marketing manager for a large national association.

Ms. Shanahan holds a B.S. degree with a double major in Finance and Communications from Virginia Tech University. She serves on the Board of Directors for Girls Inc WDCMA and is a 2007 graduate of Leadership Fairfax.
