Linda Madrid Joins Korn/Ferry as Senior Client Partner
WASHINGTON, D.C., September 16, 2009 -- Korn/Ferry International (NYSE:KFY), a premier global provider of talent management solutions, today announced that Linda Madrid has joined the firm’s Washington, D.C. office as Senior Client Partner in the Legal Center of Expertise. In this role, she will focus on legal and compliance executive searches for a wide range of world-class publicly and privately held companies, premier law firms and academic and nonprofit clients.
Ms. Madrid joins Korn/Ferry from Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae), where she served as senior vice president & deputy general counsel. Previously, she spent eight years with CarrAmerica Realty Corporation, serving in multiple roles, including managing director, general counsel, chief compliance officer & corporate secretary. Before joining CarrAmerica, Ms. Madrid was with Riggs National Corporation, a multinational bank holding company, where she served as senior vice president, general counsel & corporate secretary. She began her career as a commercial litigator practicing at several law firms, including Sidley & Austin.

Ms. Madrid has been recognized as one of the "100 Most Influential Hispanics in Business" by Hispanic Magazine in 2006. She has served in many leadership positions in the legal community, including the Executive Committee of the Association of Corporate Counsel (the global in-house bar association) and is a member of numerous professional organizations such as the District of Columbia Bar Association, Hispanic National Bar Association, Women's Bar Association of Washington, D.C.
She received her juris doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center, where she served as editor of the Georgetown Law Journal and her bachelor’s degree in political science, summa cum laude, from Arizona State University.
