- Steve Van Liere to Focus on Senior Legal and Compliance Search -

SAN FRANCISCO, November 7, 2006 -- Korn/Ferry International (NYSE:KFY), a premier global provider of talent management solutions, today announced that Steve Van Liere has joined its San Francisco office as a Client Partner and a member of the Legal Center of Expertise. He will focus on developing leadership teams in senior legal and compliance functions.

Mr. Van Liere brings more than twenty years of experience in the legal/compliance and search industries to his new role at Korn/Ferry. His search work has crossed a variety of industries including financial services, technology, consumer, health care, hospitality and industrial.

Prior to joining Korn/Ferry, Mr. Van Liere was a consultant with the executive search firm Highland Partners, now part of Heidrick & Struggles. He began his search career by founding the Tiro Company which provided legal recruiting services to law firms and corporate legal departments nationally.

Previously, he was Regional Vice President for the American Arbitration Association, the world’s largest provider of alternative dispute resolution services. His legal career began as an associate in the business litigation and bankruptcy practice of San Francisco-based Landels Ripley & Diamond.

Mr. Van Liere holds a BA degree from the University of Michigan and a JD from the University of California’s Hastings College of Law, where he graduated as a Tony Patino Fellow. He has served on the Hastings Alumni Association Board of Governors since 1999 and is its current President. He is also board Vice-Chair for the Tony Patino Fellowship which provides scholarships to select students at Hastings, the University of Chicago School of Law and Columbia Law School in recognition of their community service and leadership potential.
