- Firm’s Longest-Running RPO Agreement to Continue -
WELLINGTON, NZ, July 30, 2007 -- Futurestep, the outsourced recruiting subsidiary of Korn/Ferry International (NYSE: KFY), today announced that it has been awarded a significant contract renewal with Telecom New Zealand to manage all of Telecom’s permanent management level recruitment, restructuring and internal redeployment activities for up to another two years. Telecom New Zealand was one of the first recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) agreements secured under Futurestep's new business strategy in 2002. The news follows a four-year, multi-country relationship during which Futurestep worked with Telecom to re-engineer its recruitment process while enabling best practices and helping them manage the recruitment and placement of more than 1,000 hires per annum.
“Our partnerships with leading companies like Telecom have helped us pioneer RPO in New Zealand,” said Nick Simcock, Managing Director, Futurestep New Zealand.
“We are delighted to renew our already successful relationship with the Telecom team and look forward to building their people capability and enhancing their employer brand further in this market.”
“The seamless integration of Futurestep’s recruitment team has enabled Telecom to focus on implementing best practice recruitment activities throughout the business, which has improved the quality of each hire while reducing costs and improving the credibility of our human resources function overall,” said Mr. Clinton Berryman, Head of Recruitment Strategy and Employment Brand, Telecom, New Zealand. “Moving forward, our open and positive relationship with Futurestep will help us to continuously reshape our approach to facing the challenges of this tight labour market with proactive sourcing strategies that get the right people in the right roles quickly and ensure the success of our constantly changing business.”
