ITAA Retains Korn/Ferry for President Search

Arlington, VA, March 1, 2006 - The Information Technology Association of America (ITAA) today announced that it has retained executive search firm Korn/Ferry International, a premier global provider of talent management solutions, to assist in recruiting its president. The search will be conducted by Lorraine Lavet, the firm's National Trade Association Practice Leader and Managing Director for Northern Virginia.

"ITAA is the nation's leading IT trade association, the voice of America's IT companies, and we intend to fill the role of ITAA president with an individual who will continue to build our association and stregthen our voice," said ITAA Board Chairman David Sanders, Commercial Sector President of Perot Systems. "We believe that only a world renown executive search firm like Korn/Ferry has the resources and capabilities to conduct this search."

The role of ITAA President is multifaceted, responsible for all business, policy and market development activities of the Association. The ITAA president serves as the principal spokesperson of the organization and represents the industry before numerous bodies and venues. The selected candidate will also serve as President of the World Information Technology and Services Alliance, an association of 70 national IT trade associations around the world.

"Given the role of information technology in our global economy and the extensive changes we see in the performance, benefits and value of information technology to businesses and consumers, we think that finding the right person to fulfill this nationally prominent role at ITAA is absolutely vital," Sanders said.

Sanders said he expects the ITAA Board of Directors to fill the position this summer. Robert B. Laurence, who is also Vice President, Public Sector, Sybase, Inc. accepted the position on an interm basis after the resignation of Harris Miller in January.
