Korn/Ferry International Announces Addition of Four New Partners to Life Sciences Practice

-- Additions Highlight Firm’s Growth in Life Sciences Markets --

Princeton, NJ, December 1, 2005 -- Korn/Ferry International (NYSE:KFY), a premier global provider of talent management solutions, today announced the addition of four new executives to its Life Sciences Practice.

William Altman, Senior Client Partner in Korn/Ferry’s Healthcare Services Practice, is responsible for recruiting top healthcare executives for integrated delivery systems, academic health centers and hospital systems, as well as private equity-backed companies and board members for public and private firms.  Most recently, Altman served as President, CEO and Director of Kardia Therapeutics, a biotechnology firm engaged in developing adult cardiac stem cells for use in heart failure therapy. 

Ashley Lawton, Ph.D., joins Korn/Ferry as a Client Partner in the Biotechnology and Pharmaceuticals Practices.  Lawton has over 20 years of general management experience in the research and development, commercialization and financing activities of companies in both the U.S. and the United Kingdom.  Previously, Lawton was the President and Chief Business Officer of Descartes Therapeutics, a venture-backed biotechnology company focused on central nervous system drug discovery and development. 

Philip Lefebvre is a new Client Partner in Korn/Ferry’s Toronto office, specializing in senior executive recruiting for the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Practices.  Lefebvre has ten years of search experience in both the Toronto and Montreal markets, and will focus on key strategic positions including general management, sales and marketing, manufacturing, corporate development and finance.  Previously, he was a Project Controller with a global telecommunications long-distance carrier. 

C. Morten Nielsen joins the firm’s Global Life Sciences Practice, focusing on the Medical Device and Pharmaceutical industries.  Prior to joining Korn/Ferry, Nielsen served as Corporate Vice President and Group President Life Sciences at STERIS Corporation.  Earlier, he was European Vice President at Boston Scientific Corporation based in Paris, France.
