LOS ANGELES, July 28, 2008 -- Korn/Ferry International (NYSE:KFY), a premier global provider of talent management solutions, today announced the creation of a new global sector, Basic Materials, within the firm’s Industrial Market. Jay Millen, a Senior Client Partner in Korn/Ferry’s Miami office, will lead the newly formed sector.
In his new role, Mr. Millen will have direct responsibility for the planning and coordination of Korn/Ferry’s work in the basic materials space on a global basis. The key areas of focus for the Basic Materials Sector will be: agribusiness; building products/construction materials; forest products & biofuels; metals; mining; paper; and packaging. The sector will be comprised of leading professionals from around the world who are focused exclusively on attracting top senior-level talent to basic materials companies.

Mr. Millen advises on talent and recruitment issues for clients across the basic materials industries. He has extensive experience in supply chain and strategy development, mergers and acquisition execution, and organizational leadership development. Additionally, he has technical depth in industrial and consumer packaging operations, engineered materials and fine papers converting. Prior to joining Korn/Ferry in 2006, Mr. Millen was a partner and the industry program lead for the Accenture forest products industry group.
Earlier, Mr. Millen was director of operations for a major private equity engineered materials business, where he was responsible for the development of an international joint venture strategy and provided operational business leadership. He also held leadership roles at both International Paper and Tenneco Packaging.
Mr. Millen holds a master’s of business administration degree from Xavier University, and is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point. Prior to entering the business world, he served in the U.S. Army in a number of command and staff positions within the Special Operations community.
