With experience that is especially deep in the medical devices and diagnostics industry, Mr. Ruh has spent the majority of his career helping life sciences companies to recruit and develop their executive teams. He conducts senior searches in industries such as medical device and diagnostics, biotechnology, pharmaceutical and healthcare services. Mr. Ruh conducts search assignments for positions such as board director, chief executive officer, chief operating officer, chief financial officer, vice president of R&D, and vice president, marketing and sales.

Prior to joining Korn/Ferry in 1999, Mr. Ruh was an executive search consultant for another leading executive search firm. Before that, he was a senior human resources executive for several leading corporations, including Baxter International, American Hospital Supply Corporation and Corning, Inc. Earlier in his career, Mr. Ruh was a consulting psychologist and executive coach, providing executive assessment, selection and development consulting to organizations ranging from venture start-ups to Fortune 100 firms.

Mr. Ruh earned master’s and doctorate degrees in industrial and organizational psychology from Michigan State University, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Valparaiso University.
