Mr. Lim advises multinational and Chinese companies on strategic HR transformation, focusing on capability building and leadership development, particularly in Greater China.

Adopting a consultative approach to leadership development and talent management, he employs systematic assessment, leadership competency mapping, performance management and coaching/training to assist companies build up their leadership teams.

Mr. Lim has partnered with companies in the financial services, manufacturing and telecommunication sectors, including Agricultural Bank of China, Baosteel Group, Bosera Fund Management, China Mobile, China Pacific Insurance Co. Ltd., China Telecom, Estee Lauder, Hua Tai Securities, Mary Kay, MetersBonwe, SMBC, Shanghai Electric Corporation and Tai Wan First Bank.

Prior to joining Korn/Ferry, Mr. Lim led Mercer's Human Capital Consulting business in Greater China. Based in Shanghai, he oversaw a team of 130 professionals across eight offices in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Earlier, he served as a university lecturer before moving onto a role with Hay Group.

A frequent speaker at many high-profile HR events in China, Mr. Lim has published several articles in business journals such as the Chinese edition of the Harvard Business Review.

He earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and a master’s in business administration from Massey University, New Zealand.
