Mr. Mader is well known as a thought leader and an innovator in the talent industry, a creative developer of best practices and a continuous learner at the intersection of board executive leadership and corporate governance.
A mainstay of his work is the recruitment of board members, and he has completed over 300 such projects in the past dozen years. He has been named eight times to the NACD Directorship 100 as one of the most influential executives in U.S. Corporate Governance. He also serves the Leadership Council for the Institute for Leadership at the Ivey Business School, a center for innovative research on effective leadership.
Mr. Mader began his career in the field of automation and robotics. He was an Executive Vice President for a market leader in that field and established one of the earliest engineering/manufacturing joint ventures in China, in 1984. The rapid growth and evolution challenges in that industry fostered his interest in leadership talent as a strategic asset.
Mr. Mader earned a master’s in business administration from the Northeastern University Executive Program and received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Purdue University.
