Mr. Hyun has nearly 15 years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, marketing/sales strategy, new business development, organizational restructuring, sales force effectiveness, new commercial model development, merger and acquisition practices.
Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Mr. Hyun was the engagement manager of IMS Consulting Group in Korea, the leading global strategy firm in the healthcare sector. In this role, he led diversified healthcare-focused strategy/commercial projects for pharmaceuticals/medical devices companies, healthcare providers, and Korean conglomerates.
Earlier, Mr. Hyun was a strategy senior consultant with Monitor Group and was exposed to a diverse range of industries, including the life sciences and healthcare industry. There, he conducted multiple growth strategy development, organization redesign, in-organic growth strategy, and commercial excellence and projects.
He began his career with LG Life Sciences, where he played a key part in developing the first Korean drug (called FACTIVE) approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
Mr. Hyun earned a master's degree in business administration from The Tuck School of Business, Dartmouth College, with concentrations in healthcare and consulting. He received a bachelor's degree in life sciences from POSTECH (Pohang University of Science and Technology).
