Throughout these years, he has led ~500 search assignments and assessed nearly 400 executives for industries such as transformation, basic materials, chemicals, metals and mining, automotive, manufacturing, consumer goods, retail, and professional services.

Prior to join Korn Ferry, Gustavo was a Partner at Amrop, another executive search firm.  He worked at LG Electronics as a Deputy Director of Human Resources and for CEMEX, where he held several positions in talent management, corporate culture, personnel strategic and succession planning.  His previous experience also includes Bimbo and Televisa.

As for his academic background, Gustavo holds a B.A. and a M.D. in Corporate Communication from Tec de Monterrey and CESMA Business School at Madrid, Spain. 

He is a frequent speaker and collaborator for different media, for topics such as talent management, corporate culture, and executive search and selection.

His Board experience includes ERIAC (Association of Industrial Relations Executives), COPREM (Mexican Counsel for Entrepreneurial Foreseeing), La Gran Familia (non-profit), and the American Chamber of Commerce / Mexico, where he currently chairs the Human Resources Committee.
