Gwen Ong is responsible for driving service delivery across the RPO and Consulting business lines, client relationship management, solution design and team leadership in ASEAN. In 2014, she joined Korn Ferry Futurestep with the Shanghai office as Client Solutions Director for China, where she grew the team from 80 to approximately 130 over 18 months and contributed to the top line growth of the Solutions business.  She transferred internally to the Singapore office to a similar role focusing on the ASEAN market with effect from early 2016. 

Commencing her career as a Consultant in a boutique recruitment agency in Singapore, Ms. Ong later went on to join the Government of Singapore (GIC) as a Management Trainee where she received broad-based HR training before focusing on staffing and scholarship management.

Prior to joining Futurestep in 2014, she was Head of Talent Acquisition and Senior HRBP at Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) based in Tianjin, China. During the 5 years in SCB, she worked in the Singapore, Shanghai and Tianjin offices leading various large-scale recruitment projects for frontline, operations and senior positions. Additionally, she has track record in transforming teams in growth environments and leading them to achieve high business partnering standards.

Ms. Ong also led other projects such as Employer Brand Awards and Talent Management initiatives.

In 2013, she was awarded the Global HR Recognition Award in the “Candidate Experience” category for her contributions towards establishing a critical mobility platform needed to complete the Talent Acquisition strategy.

Born and raised in Singapore, Gwen has worked in China for 5 years. She is proficient in both written and spoken English and Mandarin.

Ms. Ong graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor Degree in Economics.
