Senior Client Partner, Office Managing Director
Kevin McBurney is a Senior Client Partner at Korn Ferry ‘s Vancouver office and a member of the firm’s Global Industrial Market. He is also Vancouver’s Office Managing Director.
Prior to joining Korn Ferry in 1999, Mr. McBurney served as a senior partner at a leading Canadian search firm and grew its practice on the West Coast of North America.
He is currently a board member of the Nature Conservancy of Canada, and chairs the BC Chapter of the Nature Conservancy’s Board. He serves as a Governor of the British Columbia Business Council.
He has conducted numerous board and executive search assignments throughout Canada and the United States across a variety of sectors, including industrial products and processing, consumer goods and professional services.
The majority of search assignments led by him over the past 20 years have focused on “C” searches—chief executives, chief operating officers, chief financial officers and chief information officers.
Mr. McBurney holds a bachelor’s degree in history and political science from the University of Auckland in New Zealand. He recently sat as a board member of GTS Energy Inc., and as well was co-chair of the Ovarian Cancer Campaign jointly sponsored by the VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation and the BC Cancer Foundation. He has been a governor and executive committee member of the Vancouver Symphony (Canada’s third largest arts organization), a former governor of Ballet, British Columbia.
