Laura Balser is a Senior Client Partner in Executive Pay & Governance for Korn Ferry working closely with management and boards through strategy, design, alignment and implementation of executive compensation programs.

Ms. Balser has over 20 years of experience consulting with publicly-traded, privately-held and not-for-profit organizations on executive reward and benefit programs and issues across several industries including healthcare distribution, manufacturing, biotechnology and professional services.

During her tenure at Korn Ferry, Ms. Balser has consulted to management and compensation committees on benchmarking of executive and director total compensation, incentive plan design, regulatory issues, and governance developments.

Ms. Balser has helped organizations in a variety of industries evaluate and ensure their executive compensation and benefit programs strategically align with corporate objectives as well as total remuneration philosophy. 

Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Ms. Balser was a principal in Mercer’s Talent practice focusing on executive rewards and a client relationship manager for a number of key clients in the South.

Before that, she was a principal managing director at National Financial Partners Executive Benefits helping organizations implement and administer solutions for executives. Her career also includes working as a consultant with Watson Wyatt.

Ms. Balser earned a bachelor’s of business administration in finance and a master’s in business administration in organization and management, both from Goizueta Business School at Emory University.  She has earned her Certified Executive Compensation Professional designation from World@Work.
