With more than 20 years of professional experience, 15 of which as a Talent Management consultant, Mr. Rocha Matos has an extensive experience in leadership advisory projects, namely providing advisory to board members, performing board reviews and executive assessments, developing team effectiveness programs, designing corporate governance and organizational models, designing and implementing talent strategy and HR models among many others. He has also developed several Executive Search projects, coordinating and executing chief executive and senior level assignments.

Until 2003 Mr. Rocha Matos worked in one of the big four management consulting firms (Accenture previously named Andersen Consulting) where he was responsible for several types of projects across several industries. He has developed projects such as information systems implementation, process reengineering, change management, human capital and business strategy. In 2003 Mr. Rocha Matos embraced the challenged of launching the Talent Management practice in one of the big 5 executive search firms. He has helped building the practice in Portugal and also in South Europe and Latin America. During the last 5 years, he was co-head of the Lisbon office.

During his career, Mr. Rocha Matos had the opportunity to work with most the companies listed in the Portuguese Stock Exchange, many multinational companies with operations in Portugal and many other Portuguese private held companies. Taking into consideration the size of the Portuguese market, Mr. Rocha Matos worked across various sectors and industries, such as industrial, financial services, consumer goods, retail, telecommunications, government, media and information technology.

Mr. Rocha Matos is fluent in Portuguese and English, with working knowledge of Spanish. He holds a Degree in Economics from the Catholic University of Lisbon and has several certifications on his areas of expertise. He is a level 1 Certified Executive Coach from European School of Coaching in Portugal.

He is Member of the Portuguese Economists Society.

Mr. Rocha Matos is regularly invited as a speaker in various forums and frequently publishes articles on subjects of his interest and expertise in leadership advisory.
