Rachel Marling is a Principal for Korn Ferry Hay Group, based in the firm’s New York office.
Ms. Marling helped a global chemical company develop and implement a job classification and compensation system, creating consistent strategy and framework for managing pay and balancing global consistency with local market needs.
Ms. Marling assists organizations in developing and implementing job classification and salary structures, optimizing the reward investment and maximizing return. Utilizing knowledge of job evaluation, she assessed team structure and role design for a pharmaceutical developer, determining how role clarity, gaps ,and overlap impacted quality outcomes of the manufacturing operation.
During her time with Hay Group, Ms. Marling has provided consulting services to organizations ranging from small, local non-profits to Fortune 500 companies. She has helped develop total reward solutions in organizations across industries, including consumer goods, healthcare and life sciences, specialty chemicals, utility and quasi-public entities.
Ms. Marling’s experience spans both broad-based and executive reward. She brings expertise in reward benchmarking and design, development of career pathing frameworks, and work measurement and classification. She partners with clients to align their total rewards programs with their business strategies and the needs of their employees. She is an expert in Hay Group’s GuideChart-ProfileSM method of job evaluation.
Ms. Marling holds a bachelor of fine arts from Pratt Institute. She is a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP®) through the WorldatWork Society of Certified Professionals.
