Tomás Castillo is a Senior Principal for Korn Ferry Hay Group, based in the firm’s Madrid office.
As a part of a consulting team, Mr. Castillo led the design and definition of a job family model for the IT organization of a global bank, and a new organizational framework based on roles and accountability levels. This new model is considered a successful project due to the high level of acceptance within the whole organization.
Mr. Castillo worked with a Spanish private bank and the human resources team. Partnering with the company, he worked to define and implement a work measurement framework (job evaluation and job definition), and a reward policy (base salary, variable pay and benefits) for the steering committee and the rest of employees.
Mr. Castillo’s expertise lies within three major areas. Through organizational effectiveness, he has had the opportunity to develop client proposals and lead projects in job evaluation and measurement, organizational efficiency, workforce planning and sizing.
Through reward development, Mr. Castillo has led and worked on total compensation policies (base salary, variable payment, long term incentives, pensions plan, executive reward).
Mr. Castillo’s expertise in labor relations, includes extensive experience in defining classification systems, collective bargaining, general legal-labor advice, and top management contracts.
Mr. Castillo holds a degree in law as a corporate legal advisor from Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE) and followed a course in labor relations and human resources, organized by the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations (CEOE).
Before joining Korn Ferry Hay Group Mr. Castillo was director of the social and labor affairs office of the Spanish Confederation of Small and Medium Size Businesses (CEPYME).
Mr. Castillo is a native Spanish speaker and has an advanced level of English.
