Andrew I. Montag and Anna Hodge Murphy join Korn Ferry Sports

 

NEW YORK, July 9, 2015 — Korn Ferry (NYSE:KFY), the preeminent authority on leadership and talent, today announced that Andrew I. Montag and Anna Hodge Murphy have joined the firm’s Sports Practice, which is led by industry pioneer Jed Hughes.

Andrew Montag

A 2015 graduate of the University of Michigan with a B.A. in Sport Management, Mr. Montag was a James B. Angell Scholar Recipient and received university honors for academic achievement. He was director of member relations for the school's Sport Business Association and captain of the Michigan Club Lacrosse team.

In 2014, Mr. Montag worked as a marketing intern for the NBA. His responsibilities included scheduling draftee appearances and a social responsibility event in New York prior to the NBA Draft. He also conducted an in-depth marketing research project aimed at maximizing attendance at the 2016 NBA All-Star Weekend in Toronto and presented to 40 league executives. Prior to that, Mr. Montag was a player development student associate for the New York Knicks, for whom he worked directly with the front office and player personnel department. He aided in NBA draft research and helped manage and analyze prospective draft-pick workouts.

In 2012, Mr. Montag worked for NBC Olympics as a shot selector and highlight producer. During the Games, he was part of a team that logged and cut 3,500+ hours of Summer Olympic highlights for NBCOlympics.com. He has also been a production assistant and a blogger for the NHL Network and a contributor to Bleacher Report. Mr. Montag is an avid golfer with a 9 handicap. His father, Sandy Montag, is one of the country's most powerful agents in sports.

Anna Murphy

A graduate of Northwestern University with a BA in Communication Studies, Ms. Murphy joins Korn Ferry from the Institute of Creative Technologies at USC, where she was a research coordinator. In this role, she transcribed, coded and analyzed highly-sensitive survey and interview data. Ms. Murphy also led two DOD and NIH-funded experiments coordinating over 120 participants for the lab’s studies on the impact of technology on psychological assessments and skills trainings.

Previously, Ms. Murphy worked for Fox Sports 1, Fox Sports Live as a broadcast associate. She led the production of graphics for daily news and statistics in the control room and strengthened Fox Sports 1's graphical style guide. Ms. Murphy also produced nightly teases, music videos, and in-house features. Prior to her stint at Fox Sports 1, she was an interactive sales, marketing and business development intern for NBC Chicago, where she implemented social media contests for clients.

Ms. Murphy studied at the Universidad de Sevilla's immersive Spanish Language program and is a professional horseback rider. Her father, Mark Murphy, is President and CEO of the Green Bay Packers.
