His mining experience began in 2004 at Yanacocha (Newmont) where performed as Regional Manager of Talent Management and later as Regional Manager of Human Resources; after that he was sent to an international assignment for two years to the corporate offices of Newmont Mining in Denver, Colorado, as Director of Human Resources Programs, from where he collaborated with global leadership development projects.
Since 2015 he was at MMG - Las Bambas as Human Resources Manager-Support, leading key processes to complete the construction phase of the mine and start the ""ram-up"" and operations of the company, to join the team of Korn Ferry in February 2018.
He has led human resource strategies to attract, develop and retain talent, both locally and globally.
He has implemented programs as organizational redesign, cost reduction, productivity increase, organizational commitment, leadership programs, succession plans, team alignment, compensation, inclusion and diversity, labor relations, massive hiring, among others.
He has worked in matrix organizations in constant interaction with their corporate and local offices; besides having participated in negotiations with surrounding communities to the mining operations.
Alberto earned a bachelor's degree from the Faculty of Administrative Sciences of the University of Lima, holds an MBA from the University of Piura and has completed courses as Executive Leadership at Daniels School of Business, Denver University and Executive Coaching at Teachers College of Columbia Business School, New York.
He speaks Spanish and English.
