Prior to joining Korn Ferry, she was an Independent Consultant providing recruitment and career coaching services to clients in the nonprofit and education industries.
She spent several years working for Koya Leadership Partners where she served as a Career Coach and Senior Search Consultant. She managed all aspects of the executive search process, including working with senior leaders in nonprofit organizations to understand their hiring needs, developing strategic hiring plans and effective recruitment and selection strategies, and identifying and placing top talent. During her tenure, she launched and led all aspects of the Career Services program and specialized in counseling individuals on a variety of career services topics, including career coaching, self-assessment, cover letter and resume writing, interview preparation, and transitioning from the for-profit to the nonprofit sector.
Prior to joining Koya, Ms. Shea was Associate Director of Recruitment and Selection at The Broad Center, where she helped recruit and train executive leadership talent from across America to become the next generation of urban school district leaders. She also served as Senior Recruiter at Bain & Company, where she managed the company's internship and experienced hire recruiting programs. She spent several years overseeing and increasing awareness of internship programs at both Boston University and Emerson College as well as counseling students and alumni.
Ms. Shea began her career in media relations at Citigate Cunningham where she successfully managed national media relations and strategic communications programs for major high tech and consumer companies.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from Providence College, where she volunteered as a Career Peer Advisor in the Office of Career Services. She volunteers with several nonprofit organizations focused on education and the empowerment of women and serves as a Yoga Instructor with a passion for teaching inner city youth.
