Ann Kern

Senior Client Partner
Ann Powers Kern is a Senior Client Partner in Korn Ferry's New York office and a member of both the Firm's Education and Association/Government/ Nonprofit Specialty Practices.

Ms. Kern conducts CEO and other senior level nonprofit and education searches nationally and internationally, working with social service/human service, performing and visual arts, healthcare, academic institutions and other nonprofit organizations. Additionally, she has experience conducting Board of Director searches in the not-for-profit and corporate sectors.

Prior to joining Korn Ferry, Ms. Kern served as director of development of New York University's graduate and undergraduate schools of business, now known as the Leonard N. Stern School of Business, where she directed the Schools' fundraising campaigns, working with University trustees and leaders in the corporate community. Previously, Ms. Kern was a member of the development staff at New York University Medical Center. Her earlier business experience includes positions in political fundraising.

Ms. Kern is a member of the advisory board of the Tanenbaum Center for Interreligious Understanding, and a member of the board of directors of the Skin Cancer Foundation and She is a member and past board member of the Women's Forum of New York. Additionally, she is a past board member of the National Conference of Community and Justice and The Educational Alliance and was elected to the Academy of Women Achievers by the YWCA.

Ms. Kern holds a bachelor's degree from New York University.
