Mr. Corkum advises clients on several issues including external market competitiveness, pay equity issues, rewards governance, changes to the existing job architecture, and supporting the implementation and communication process of new and/or changes to existing rewards programs.
Mr. Corkum is an experienced compensation consulting professional with over sixteen years of progressive experience.
Mr. Corkum’s areas of expertise include compensation philosophy review and design, job architecture, compensation benchmarking, pay program design, short- and long-term incentive plan design, and total rewards administration.
Mr. Corkum’s work has spanned a multitude of industries across various geographies including healthcare, manufacturing, pharmaceutical and not-for-profit.
Mr. Corkum has a BA degree in Business Administration from Washington and Jefferson College, and he holds both a Master of Information System Management and a Master of Business Administration with a focus in Human Resources Management from Duquesne University.
Mr. Corkum is a member of World at Work, and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), as well as both local Pittsburgh-Area chapter groups. He is a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) since 2007, a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) since 2009, a Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) since 2015, and the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) since 2015.
