Mr. Shabot has over 25 years of executive search and leadership development experience combined with 17 years of direct health services experience. Over the years, he has had the opportunity to serve many of the leading health care systems and other progressive health services companies in the United States. Moreover, Mr. Shabot has extensive experience developing human capital strategies to enhance employee attraction, retention, and engagement; using analytics to produce data-driven change linked to business performance. He is certified in Lominger's Leadership Architect®, viaEdge® and Voices® 360 assessment tools.
Prior to joining Korn Ferry in 1988, Mr. Shabot served as director of the Metropolitan Boston and Southeastern Massachusetts Hospital Councils, and as the first vice president for Managed Care. He began his career in operations management at New York University Medical Center in Manhattan.
Mr. Shabot has also served on the executive board of Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare, provided consultation to a home-health company, taught health planning and marketing in a college health services program, and counseled numerous professionals in health services management careers. He has been an invited guest speaker at many health services graduate programs, including The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania, Villanova University and Columbia University.
Mr. Shabot received a master's in health services administration and a bachelor's in sociology from the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
