Dr. Postel brings 25 years of experience in higher education to his assignments which focus on the recruitment of top executives for Academic Health Science Centers, Colleges and Universities.
In addition to an accomplished career as an academic interventional neuroradiologist, Dr. Postel served 18 years as Chairman of the Department of Radiology and held the positions of Vice Dean for Clinical Affairs and Chairman of the Board of University Medical Center. He was the founding board chair and later CEO of the University of Louisville Physicians. Dr. Postel spent fours years as the Executive Vice President for Health Affairs and until May of 2018 was the Interim President of the University of Louisville.
Dr. Postel has extensive experience with Academic Medical Center and University operations, governance, clinical care, teaching and the support of research.
A graduate of the College of Wooster and Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, Dr. Postel completed a residency in Radiology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and a Fellowship in Neuroradiology at the Mayo Clinic Foundation.
He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Alpha Omega Alpha and is a Senior Member of the American Society of Neuroradiology.
