Senior Client Partner, Life Sciences

John Spencer is a Senior Client Partner with Korn Ferry and a member of the Firm's Global Life Sciences Practice.

Mr. Spencer brings clients a unique understanding of business dynamics, medical/scientific technology and executive talent needs, drawn from three decades in Life Sciences executive search, sales and marketing, and lab research.

Mr. Spencer's clientele spans venture capital and private equity firms, small- and mid-cap corporations, and large multinationals. He has deep knowledge and broad professional networks throughout this sector, in areas that include diagnostics, personalized medicine, genomics, life sciences tools, biotechnology and medical devices.

Since 2000, Mr. Spencer has completed search assignments across a range of executive management functions including CEO, COO, CBO, CFO, President and the Board of Directors in addition to leadership functional positions in Sales and Marketing, Operations, Manufacturing, Research & Development, Clinical, Medical and Quality/Regulatory Affairs.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Spencer held leadership commercial positions with Corning Life Sciences (NASDAQ:GLW) within their Drug Discovery and Genomics group, and the Enterprise Life Sciences Software team at (NASDAQ:SQST).

Mr. Spencer received his B.S. in Physiology from the University of California at Davis. He worked as a post-graduate Researcher at the U.C. Davis Medical Center, and as a Pharmacokinetic Researcher at Arris Pharmaceuticals.
