Mr. Thompson leads the Rewards and Benefits Solutions practice for the UK and Ireland and is a member of our Global Financial Services market team. He works across all sectors to refine reward strategies and implement policies in support of business objectives.
Mr. Thompson has led and participated in a large range of projects focused on reward, job evaluation, organization design, and career and talent management structures.
He has extensive international experience including client work undertaken whilst he was Head of Reward Consulting in India.
Mr. Thompson has 17 years' experience of HR and reward consulting at Korn Ferry. His work is underpinned by an expertise in job evaluation, using the Korn Ferry Hay Guide Chart Profile Method, which enables pay structures to be linked effectively to appropriate pay markets and to deliver internal equity. He has extensive experience developing pay and career structures on the basis of job family models, the design of management incentives, strategic workforce plans, and performance management processes.
Prior to joining the Korn Ferry, Mr. Thompson pursued a career in human resources, initially in industrial relations at the Bank of England, then as a generalist in the motor industry before specializing in remuneration and benefits for Eircom, Ireland's leading telecommunications company.
Mr. Thompson is a chartered member of the UK's Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and has a degree in medieval and modern history from the University of Birmingham.
